3D SCAN

What is 3D scanning?

It’s a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of light an create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object.
“Capturing a physical object’s exact size and shape into the computer world as a digital 3-dimensional representation”
The 3D scanned model can be analysed, measured, reverse engineered, CNC cut, injection molded or 3D printed for casting.
Printed for prototype design, small production and do not forget art

Component Scanning

Reverse engineering of objects that are complicated in form and can hardly be measured by standard methods.
Reverse engineering is vital if you need to produce a batch of products but do not have the documentation any longer or you need to develop a new product based on the one you already have.

Automotive

Getting the right dimensions on free-form geometry to develop accessories like bull-bars, hoods and canopies can be painful and tedious. CloneMe3D takes that away by scanning the vehicle and turning in into a parasolid for ease of use in Solidworks or any other design package.

Dental Scanning

Dentists and oral healthcare professionals need to digitally replicate their patients’ mouths for many reasons. Depending on what work is to be done, the first step is to make an impression of a person’s teeth and jaw set. From that, a physical plaster model, or impression is created.
CloneMe3D then scans it to bring it into the digital world and can be used in many dental applications.

Art & Design

A maquette is a requisite to secure tenders or get client approval. To digitize the maquette not only makes it possible to upscale the art piece, but also to send it anywhere over the world as a 3D pdf for review.
